This is the song that has stuck in my head the most from this great little one-night reunion session with Killer Whirlpool. We'd resorted to checking the idea list from the Killer Voyage ADP 2015 session, and you can hear Tim and me reviewing the list and deciding to use two ideas from the list: "let's not put the cart before the horse" and "yep nope".

Next thing you know we'd come up with a couple of chords to sing over, I think an Am and a D, and I layered in a C and Bm for some really sweet textures over which Tim improvised the lyrics, and I just inserted the tribute to Uncle Fleet with my "yup yup nope nope" bits.

Recording notes: recorded live in the loft in Jon's house back in Ithaca, NY on 29 December 2016, with the mobile mangobananas studio rig: MacBook Pro (17-inch, early 2009), MOTU 828mk3, ART TubeOpto 8, Presonus DigiMax LT, using 13 mics (4 vocals, 4 drum kit, 2 congas, 2 guitar amps, 1 harp amp) plus 1 bass DI.

We call this session Winter Whirlpool Advisory. It was really great getting back on the Whirlpool again! Jon and Tim and I have been playing together since May 1979 --almost 38 years now! And PeBo and Tommy go back to 1996 --over 20 years now. It is a really familiar and fun ride...

Thanks for listening!
